High School
9th - 12th Grade
Land O’ Lakes Christian School strives to choose the best curriculum that helps students prepare, both spiritually and academically, for what God has for them after high school. Students are challenged to build upon the solid foundation previously laid and develop their critical thinking skills. All classes are taught from a distinctively Christian worldview, and LOLCS teachers have a heart to see their students succeed and become men and women who love and serve the Lord.
Because of LOLCS’s rigorous academics, the average student generally scores in the 70th-85th percentile on the IOWA standardized achievement test.
Being a college prep high school, many high school students are enrolled in honors classes to help prepare them for the workload and assignments in college.
High school students are offered a variety of electives that may include classes such as Culinary Arts, Computer Programming, Psychology, Critical Thinking, Current Events, Industrial Arts, Journalism, Personal Finance, and Life Management. Because Land O’ Lakes Christian School believes that it is important to mentor the whole person, LOLCS also provides opportunities for high school students to be involved in sports, music, student council, and other extra-curricular activities.
