    For students who are three years old by September 1 of the school year, Land O’ Lakes Christian School offers both half-day and full-day options. The morning PK3 program lays a solid spiritual and academic foundation helping students acquire age-appropriate social, emotional, motor, and academic skills.
    The Abeka curriculum develops students’ understanding of language and math through a variety of direct instruction, hands-on, and game-styled learning activities. In addition to Bible, students receive a wide variety of lessons in phonics, handwriting, math, science, social studies, and music. All subjects at Land O’ Lakes Christian School are taught through a biblical worldview.
    The optional pre-kindergarten enrichment (PKE-3) program held in the afternoon allows time for extended learning in social studies, history, science, music, and art. Students in the PKE-3 class also have a lunchtime and a naptime. PK3 and PKE-3 uniquely prepare students for the following year’s pre-kindergarten 4 (K-4) program.

  • Junior High (7-8)

      Junior high school is seen as a transition time from elementary to high school. Because of this Land O’ Lakes Christian School endeavors to use this time to prepare and equip their students for high school. The teachers do this by adding upon the foundation they have already received and emphasizing the core subjects that will give them the knowledge base that they will need in the coming years. LOLCS uses a challenging curriculum with a uniquely Christian worldview.

      Land O’ Lakes Christian School purposes to give students what they need to thrive when they enter their high school years. Their academics push students to do their best and help the average junior high student to score in the 70th-80thpercentile on the IOWA achievement test.

      Junior high students are offered electives to help mold the whole person. These electives include classes like Keyboarding, Public Speaking, Personal Finance, Critical Thinking, and Current Events.

        Land O’ Lakes Christian School strives to choose the best curriculum that helps students prepare, both spiritually and academically, for what God has for them after high school. Students are challenged to build upon the solid foundation previously laid and develop their critical thinking skills. All classes are taught from a distinctively Christian worldview, and LOLCS teachers have a heart to see their students succeed and become men and women who love and serve the Lord.

        Because of LOLCS’s rigorous academics, the average student generally scores in the 70th-85th percentile on the IOWA standardized achievement test.

        Being a college prep high school, many high school students are enrolled in honors classes to help prepare them for the workload and assignments in college.

        High school students are offered a variety of electives that may include classes such as Culinary Arts, Computer Programming, Psychology, Critical Thinking, Current Events, Industrial Arts, Journalism, Personal Finance, and Life Management. Because Land O’ Lakes Christian School believes that it is important to mentor the whole person, LOLCS also provides opportunities for high school students to be involved in sports, music, student council, and other extra-curricular activities.
